Short booklets have now been produced which explain the roles of the main categories of
governors. These are available to download from the Central Bedfordshire Website and
include:

• The role of the parent governor
• The role of the authority (formerly LA) governor
• The role of the community governor
• The role of the foundation/partnership governor
• The role of the staff governor
• The role of an associate member

They will be particularly useful for new governors and those who wish to refresh their understanding of governor responsibilities.
